It all started with Michael Crawford at the age of 6. His voice, his passionate love for Christine, was the ultimate romantic notion. Mostly his voice though *Swoon*. I honestly believe that he's the first man that got me seriously interested in masks.
Next we have the ever lovable Kakashi! Who, as all my friends know, is my "boyfriend" and great Anime love. Yes, I'm a nerd. Besides that there's something strangely appealing about the fact that he's so mysterious. Ninjas = Cool! He's very drool worthy, even if he is just animated.
My love for V, from V for Vendetta, is slightly alarming, even to myself. His awesome skills, his soothing voice, his massive amounts of book smart, and charisma. . . *Glaze over* Really, I love him.Of course there's the always obvious choices of super heros. But, I've noticed, that the only ones I REALLY like, always wear masks. And the second those masks come off the appeal lessons.
Iron Man! Strangly my appeal for Robert Downey Jr. doesn't lesson when the mask comes off. He's a very attractive man :) But for some reason a hot man, inside a metal suit, flying through the air and blasting things. . . wow. There are no words!
Christian Bale as Batman is pretty much perfect. He's beautiful on his own but with the gadgets, cape, and mask he becomes a knight in shining armor!
Spiderman! Tobey Maguire kind of makes me want to throw up in my mouth. He is without a doubt the UGLIEST man cast as a super hero. . . which for Spiderman kind of works. At the same time, the second the mask comes off, if his shirt isn't off too, I want to look away. I really dig Spiderman though.If we talk Super Heros we need to talk Ultimate Villains. So my honorable mention goes the the best Villain who ever wore a mask:
Darth Vader! Yes he's the bad guy, yes you can hear him breathing from a mile away, and yes he killed the whole planet of Alderon but guess what? We still love him! You can't look at his costume and not say that he's very sexy! Take the mask off. . . blegh! *Shivers* Not so much the first actor, Haden Christianson, but Vader as an old guy traumatized me! So, what this whole post comes down to is for me to admit that I have a fetish for guys in masks. Yep, it's true! I just realized it earlier this year and now I'm startled that it's true. I think about characters and I'm always drawn to the guy in a mask first.
Now that you all know my ever embarrassing fetish I challenge all of you to realize your own. Then share it with the world. Unless it's something freaky like feet and then I don't want to know!
