Oh sweet captivity!

I'm being help prisoner in my own imagination! For the first time in my life I have more story ideas than I can remember. The worst thing about having all these great ideas is I have no motivation to write any of them right now.
My writing spirit is on a leave of absence for an unknown amount of time.
I'm actually really quite sad about that. . . :(
So, because of my mind being occupied with MULTIPLE stories at once, I decided to post them on here so I won't forget them. Also, if you guys express interest in them maybe I'll have more motivation :)

First a foremost, my absolute favorite and most loved story is The Vampire's Bouquet.
This one is finished besides a few revamping and. . . possible slimming down lol. Naomi knows, it's WAY TOO LONG! Anyways. This one just needs the last few finishing touches before I shove it into an editors lap and possibly a publishing company all in one. Sadly, because this story has taken 10 some odd years to finish, I'm afraid all my other stories will never live up to this one. This story is like the oldest child, the first grand baby of the family. All the following stories will never be as talented or as loved. . . at least in my own worries lol.

Next is one that I've actually written quiet a lot of and posted on Deviant Art: Last Wish of an Angel. This was just supposed to be a for fun kind of short story but the more I write of it the more I want to actually make a book of it. It's a really unique story that I absolutely love. This one is about an angel, Tidus, who works for God as a Guider. He guides the souls of the dead to either Heaven or Hell. But, on a bad luck day, he chains his soul to that of a live girl who he had presumed was dead. Because of this, he's stuck living with her until the date of her actual death, since their souls are connected. This is really a funny story but I also think I might have made the character a little too melodramatic. So this is one I want to revamp completely and make a little more real. I love Tidus, FYI, he's awesome :)

Dragon Fruit
This one I've only done a few chapters of. It's about a girl who, as an infant, is given Dragon Fruit, the magical fruit grown by the Dragons that enables a person to be able to have children. The girl is just a normal every day person who didn't know about the existence of dragons until her 17th birthday when her betrothed, the Dragon Lord, comes to collect her. This is a REALLY mushy romantic, kind of Julia-esq book (it was going to have some hot scenes for you friend lol). So I'm still mulling over the idea of doing this one.

Eight Freaks
This is a book that will take me a lot of research to do, which is possibly why I'm postponing it. This is, without a doubt, the ONLY serious, non romantic book I will probably ever write! lol I came up with the idea after a way cool dream I had. It's going to be very psychological and cover personality social disorders that people have. It's all about the government, brainwashing, and control. This whole big conspiracy theory kind of book. This is one that I feel, once finished, would do very well because of the theme behind it. It would be generated for adults. I've only typed up the part of the dream I could remember of this, three pages at most. The rest, I would have to create myself.

Unnamed book
The last story floating around in my noggin still doesn't have a name. I posted the first chapter of it. . . or possibly the first part of the first chapter lol. . . on my blog a few days ago. I wanted to do this one because it's very Naomi-esq. With the characters true colors only being shown at the end. . . Bwhahaha! Anyways. I'll get to it. . . lol.

With the list of books now, looking over them, I think the ones that I should actually do are: The Vampire's Bouquet, Eight Freaks, and Last Wish of an Angel. The other two can wait for now. . . Sadly, the other two are for my friends, focusing on the kinds of books they like to read . . . I'm sorry Julia and Naomi! I haven't forgotten you! lol
So, I need to finish The Vampire's Bouquet, since it's pushing 800+ pages. . . boo. And send that in. Next, I would probably work on Last Wish of an Angel, since I already have a layout done. Then I should do Eight Freaks because, lets face it, I would have a REALLY hard time writing a book with no romance in it! lol But at the same time I feel that this book will be very influential and deep. So I WANT to do it so badly!

Oh great writing gods of awesomeness! Send me a writing mood so that I can finish all these blasted books that are haunting my ever thought! :D Jk jk.

Book idea

Alright then. I decided to post in here the first chapter of a new book I'm thinking about writing. I say "thinking about" because I always start books but never finish them lol. It's my tragic flaw. Without this flaw I would be a billionaire, world known, famous author, with fans, groupies, and stalkers. At least I think it's possible lol :)
Anyways. Here's the chapter. Let me know what you think.

Chapter one

I was born in the Spring, in April, when there was a heavy shower of rain, late at night. My father often told me the story of how my mother, may she rest in peace, died during child labor. I think he told me this in order for me to honor my mother's memory. He didn't understand that I already did honor her, she died to give me life. The story of my birth was painful to me. Each time my father spoke of it I almost heard a hint of regret in his voice. She had died for, the heir to his throne, me. It seemed that my father didn't think the trade off was worth it.

I was to be the next king of Fairport, the kingdom of which I lived. It was a beautiful place with high walls circling the grounds. My father always said I would ascend his throne, always naming it as his property. Even when he talked about dying he would claim the throne. Always something like: “When I die you will rule on my throne”. It gave me the idea that I was just to keep the seat warm until he decided to come back. Knowing my father he honestly believed that if Heaven was boring he would be able to stroll back down to earth, as though he had only decided to take a short vacation.

The neighboring kingdom, Greenville, had been enemies with our kingdom for as long as anyone could remember. They were 100 miles away, separated by easy road and a long flat meadow which was considered no mans land. My kingdom wanted their land and Greenville wanted our land. No one built in the meadow, to do so would be to invite war. But that didn't stop the two kingdoms from plotting if there was every a good opportunity. Which is why it was so important for my father to have an heir.

He had me trained in the art of war, preparing me for the inevitable betrayal of our enemies the Royce family. The Royce's were the royal family in Greenville and Father was certain that one day they would come and try to steal our kingdom out from under us. I trained with all kinds of weapons, mastering everything I could, including hand to hand combat.

My father also insured my education, having me attend personal tutors all week long. I was education in a wide variety of subjects and forced to read hundreds of books. I was knowledgeable about many things, I grasped the subjects easily, but I wasn't deeply interested in any one subject.

I am a confident person but quiet. I am capable of speaking my mind but mostly I tried to keep my comments to myself. When I do speak my thoughts I'm told I'm outspoken, usually offending someone around me with my opinion. I have been known to be stubborn and more than once I have head people describe me as arrogant. I don't believe I'm arrogant I just find people annoying and most of the time unintelligent.

Despite my years of training in combat I am small. I was 5'7 with a slender build, my legs and arms long. My face is also thin and I had high cheekbones with straight small lips and a slender nose. Sometimes I feel that everything about me is small. My hair is short, the tips in the front hanging just to the middle of my forehead, and a dark red-brown color. My eyes are gray blue and framed by light brown eyebrows and eyelashes. My skin tone is fair, I didn't tan easily, and spotless.

I'm not anxious about being king someday, I knew I could rule well. I am smart enough to understand my advisers, strong enough to fight off any enemies, and I am charismatic enough to rule my people in confidence.

I'm not afraid, despite knowing that my destiny and life would have been much easier if there was one thing different about me. I should have been born a boy.

Self Evalutaion For Today

Shakespeare says: "To thine own self be true."
That's all well and good unless you don't know what it is you want.
Despite being a very loud, in your face, honest person, I realized that when it comes to matters of the heart I'm as bashful as a young girl.
I don't want to figure out how I feel. I want them to take the first move, showing me how they feel and I'll decide what I want from there. I want to follow, not lead.
Sometimes I do make the first move, asking to hang out, calling, texting etc. But it comes down to this: I'm only willing to do so much until I want the ball to be in their court. And then, since I'm a VERY impatient person, I hate waiting for the ball holder to make their move.
I feel kind of selfish today. I know that I always jump into things head first, taking risks, without always thinking things through. Because of these personality types of mine I want to tell people when I missed them, or that I wish I could talk to them more, even though I know doing so would freak them out and they would go running for the hills. In this sense, I don't consider others feelings as I just want my feelings to be heard, understood, and followed. This is why I feel selfish.
So, I guess for now, I will not act. I will sit still, contemplate, and evaluate what it is I really want. And I won't expect people to act since I too am unready. And once I know what I want I hope I will have the courage and strength to put myself out there, and give the people around me the chance to decide how they feel.
But that won't be for a while :)

P.S. These feelings are hard to try and explain! Sorry if it makes no sense at all! lol

And God said, "Let there be Manga. . ."

For this blog, and I apologize in advance that I'm stuck in a Anime/Manga mood, I'm going to write about some really awesome Manga stories I have read.
First off, I LOVE reading! So Manga is freaking great.
Secondly, I love a good romantic story, so I'm always reading cheesy crap. Hehe :)
Thirdly, I'm only going to post the stories I really liked, and none of them are in any particular order. I'm just posting them as I think of them.
Fourthly (this is a long list), THERE WILL BE SPOILERS!
Fifthly, this is going to be a LONG Blog, so don't feel obligated to read it. I'm doing it at work in between calls to kill time :)
Sixthly, these are just SOME of my favorites, and the obviously less well known ones.
So without further ado, I present: Some of my favorite Manga!

7th Period is a Secret
This is an awesome, also very short (3 blissfully adorable chapters), story about a girl named Shun. She used to be very quiet and gloomy and everyone bullied her. Because of this she had no friends. When her family moves she decides to change her appearance and attitude in order to have new friends at her new school. She's able to fool everyone around her with the exception of her teacher, Jun Koshiba. He's a young teacher who all the classmates really like, except Shun. She worries because when he looks at her she can tell he knows she's hiding something.
In a twist, when the class is planning a field trip, Shun ends up as the odd girl out with no partner. This really scares her, and her feelings flash back to when she was at her old school with no friends, and her eyes fill up with tears. Jun, the teachers, says that they will be partners. All the class members laugh and tease Shun that she's going to have to babysit him since he's so childish. She's amazed that the was able to see her fears and understand her feelings.
At the end of the day, she's helping him get ready for the field trip the next day, and she basically snaps. Admitting to him that she used to be unhappy and quiet and demands to know what's wrong with that. He listens and encourages her to tell him more about herself, stating that he wants to be her friend. This makes her really happy because he's the only person to know the real her.
She ends up feeling kind of embarrassed about wanting to eagerly be his friend. But he understands her feelings without her having to explain them so she ends up very excited for the field trip so that she can spend time with him.
While on the field trip, after some things happen, she ends up going to Tokyo Tower with Jun alone on the student free time. By chance they go when it's very busy. They end up stuffed in an elevator with a lot of people. Jun protects Shun with his body, leaning against the wall, putting his back to everyone. They end up standing very close together because of this. Shun realizes that she's excited and nervous because of this but she also realizes that she wishes time would stop so they could stay that close always. She ends up grabbing the end of his shirt, clinging to him while leaning her head on his shoulder.
Once they get to the top of Tokyo Tower the look at the view and relax the mood. Shun thanks Jun for spending time with her and for being her friend. He ends up confiding her that he used to be just like her, when she was quiet and alone. He advises her that he also faked a smile but realized eventually that no one knew the real him because of this. He compliments Shun's good traits, telling her the wonderful things she does even though she's hiding her true self. He tells her that the Shun he knows, the real Shun, is a great person.
His kind words end up making her cry, (she cries a lot fyi). To comfort her he holds her hand while they ride in the elevator as the head back down. He asks her to keep their one-on-one time together a secret between friends. Shun realizes that she doesn't want to share Jun with everyone else and tells him that she only needs him. She tells him plainly that she likes him. She hugs onto his back while confessing to him.
After saying this she realized what just happened and back tracks. She assures him that he's just dependable and asks him to forget what she just said. It's obvious that he's shaken. She feels humiliated and realizes that she's only going to cause problems for him.
After that it shows them back at school. Shun's been avoiding June, since she feels embarrassed and can't act natural. She's thinking about this while walking through the halls of the school. Jun calls to her and catches her from falling down stairs she hadn't noticed since she was deep in thought. He's holding her in his arms and her heart starts pounding. The school Principle happens to see them and demands to know if they have a personal relationship. She tells them that someone say them at Tokyo Tower together. Shun tries to explain but the principle cuts her off. She ends up ripping into Jun, calling him irresponsible and stuff like that. Shun interrupts and explains that nothing happened, she tells the Principle that Jun is her good friend and that he had cheered her up when she wasn't getting along with anyone.
The Principle dismisses them, telling them to avoid such situations again. They walk from the office only to see Shun's friends by the door. They had heard what Shun said and it hurt their feelings. They walk away from her. Jun encourages her to go after them and explain but she's too scared.
You Shun next lying in bed, really upset. Her mom comes in and asks if she's still feeling sick and says that missing 3 days of school is a lot. She tells Shun that her teachers has been calling. Shun continues to feel horrible, thinking that's she too scared to face everyone. She then hears a rock hit her window, then another, and she goes to see what it is. Jun is standing outside her window, one story down.
He tells her that he's worried about her and she needs to come back to school. She says she can't, that she's only troubling him. He demands, now upset, to know what will happen to him then. He tells her that just because he's the teacher he's not ok with everything. He admits that it made him happy when she confessed her feelings to him. He tells her that he wants to see her every day and insists that she come back to school, even if she's scared. He asks her to come to school tomorrow and promises that he'll be waiting for her, then he leaves. Shun, feeling a lot better, decides to go to school so she can see Jun.
When she goes back to school she immediately finds her friends and apologizes to them. They tell her that it made them sad that she didn't confide in them her sadness, telling her they felt bad that she went to their teacher. They reconcile and Shun feels releaved and totally happy.
While in class she realizes that it's all Jun's doing that has made her able to find real friends and true happiness. He smiles at her in class and passes her a note, asking her to meet him for a 7th period class (which they don't have in Japan) on top of the school.
She runs to the roof after class, eager to tell Jun about how happy she is. He's already there waiting for her, and greets her warmly. She tells him again that she likes him. She assures him that he doesn't need to reply but warns him that if she still likes him by the time she graduates that she will confess to him again, and advises him to be ready. She then quickly apologizes, stating that she hopes no one heard.
He tells her that she's always troubling him, and then he kisses her on the forehead. She's surprised by his action but happy. When he pulls back he's blushing really bad and he tells her that she better still like him after graduation.
The last line of the story is: "7th period, it's the beginning of a secret class."

AWWWW! HOW CUTE! . . . I am concerned with the fact that I think, ONLY IN MANGA, that teacher student relationships are romantic. What's up with that? In real life it's freaking gross but not so much in cartoons lol. Sorry that that was WAY long. I just really like that story. It's cute :)

Meru Puri
Now we're going to do another really cute story. Airi, 15, is a normal high school girl who's a romantic. She dreams of finding and marrying a nice guy, getting married, and him being a loving husband. She has a goal, believing it will insure her finding a perfect man, to be on time to school every day. Her clock work schedule gets ruined when one day on the way to school a little boy telaports from her mirror, and heirloom she has, and appears in front of her. His name is Aram. He's a little 12 year old and tells Airi that he's from another world, a magical kingdom. She, thinking he was just a little kid, takes him home with her believing that he's just lost. They have dinner and she makes a bed for him, promising to help him find his parents in the morning. He asks if he can sleep with her and she agrees (this isn't weird for the Japanese culture).
Unfortunately, unknown to them both, before Aram left his kingdom his older brother, who wants to take the throne from Aram, who is heir, put a spell on Aram. Any time Aram is in complete darkness he ages.
When Airi and Aram woke in the morning he was no longer a cute little 12 year old but a very tall handsome 17 year old. Airi freaks out and Aram is spared only by his servant, who uses the mirror as a portal and comes to his aid. The servant explains the situation and advises that the only way to make Aram go normal is if he is kissed by his true love. Aram quickly stated that his love is Airi. She, of course, refuses to kiss him.
He ends up staying with her for a few days, quiet pleased that he's there but sad that she won't kiss him. Eventually, with some prodding from Aram's servant, she agrees. Aram is sad, not wanting to part with her but Airi, taking her ability with a cruel twist, kisses him in order to displease him. Aram returns to his young form and is quickly swifted away back to his magical kingdom.
It doesn't take Airi long to miss him. It also doesn't take Aram's brother to find Airi.
Basically the story continues with them overcoming the troubles of Aram becoming king, Airi adjusting to living in a magical world, and Aram actually being younger than her. She finally accepts his feelings and returns them, enabling them to become betrothed until his is actually 17.
There's a lot of cute moments for them because Aram, desperately in love with Airi, would go into a dark room, grow up, and go and hold Airi in his arms. She in turn, because their relationship made her a little uncomfortable at first, would kiss him, turning him back to normal. Which would make Aram pout because, although he loved receiving her kisses, he hated the fact that he was a little child next to her.
The story ends with their wedding, when Aram is really 17 and Airi is 21. They are to be King and Queen of his magical kingdom.

I really liked this story too. Aram is so adorable :)

Hana Kimi
This is a really cool story about a girl, Ashiya, who is half Japanese half American. She loves doing track and field and watched a well known Japanese high jumper named Sano. She has a lot of respect for him and loves watching him jump because it looks so beautiful. Determined to meet him she finds out what high school he's going to and leaves America to attend school in Japan. The only problem is the school is an all boys school. Ashiya cuts off all her hair and becomes a boy.
(This manga is really long just fyi so I'll REALLY summarize) Basically it works out that they end up as roommates. Their relationship, over a two year period, evolves more and more until Ashiya realizes she's in love with him. It takes Sano kissing her, of his own free will, for her to finally confess her feelings.
But then she is worried because Sano confessed his love so is he gay? And if she tells him the truth about her being a girl would he hate her? The good news is, we, the readers, know that Sano knew the whole time that Ashiya was a girl. So we know he really loves her. It all works out in the end.

I loved the awkward relationship between these two. Sano gets very frustrated whenever Ashiya does something that, as a boy would be fine, but as a girl isn't acceptable. This is actually a REALLY long story but it's way funny and super good.

Hana to Akuma
This is a story that's still being written, but I'm reading it now, each new chapter, and I absolutely love it. It's about a demon from Hell, Vivi, who came to earth because he was bored. He finds a human baby and decides, to kill time, to keep her. All of the servants who live in his home our demons so Hana, the baby, grows up knowing about these things. Hana loves Vivi very much and he treats her like an annoying kid sister but he really cares for her to.
Their relationship is clear to the reader. Although Hana is very young, I think only 15, and Vivi is over 200 years old you can tell that they love each other. Neither of the characters really realize it though. Vivi gets jealous easily and Hana pouts when Vivi is mad at her.
The story, so far, has been about the two of them, with their friends, working through conflicts. From Hana getting hurt, making human friends, Vivi's betrothed coming to visit, and the Demon King, Satan himself, kidnapping Hana to pick on Vivi, who happens to be next in line as King.
Some of the funniest stuff is every now and then someone will slip Hana a potion that makes her grow, turning her into a grown woman. Whenever this happens Vivi doesn't want to look at her, much less touch her, because he's so physically attracted to her that it scares him.
One such time he ended up kissing her on the neck, and then the potion wore off right afterwords, and he was annoyingly reminded that Hana is really a young girl.
Just now in the story Hana stopped Vivi's wedding to his betrothed, begging him not to get married because she loves him. When he told her he knows she loves him she insisted that she's in love with him, shocking Vivi. She tells him that she wants to be his wife. Which, after Satan congratulates Hana on her touching proposal, Hana realizes that she really did propose to Vivi.

This story is so funny and cute. Vivi is a grumpy jerk and is only nice to Hana. Whereas Hana is kind of a naive young thing that's a little stupid lol. I really like it though :)

Dengeki Daisy
This right now, is probably one of my favorite Manga's I've ever read. It's a perfect blend of funny, romantic, serious, and confusing. It's still being written (yay and boo at the same time).
At the start of the story Teru, the main character, is a high school student who's only family member, her brother, died when she was young. His parting gift to her was a cell phone, advising her that the phone was linked to Daisy, a friend of his who had sworn to watch over her. Daisy becomes the older brother Teru has lost and so much more.
Teru confines in Daisy everything, emailing him notices of her daily life. One day, she accidentally breaks a window at school. Later the school Janitor comes and finds her, telling her that since she's poor she can pay for the window by being his slave. The Janitors name is Kurosaki and we, the readers find out very quickly, that he is actually Teru's beloved Daisy.
Kurosaki plays his roles perfectly. In person he teases Teru cruelly, making fun of her lack of breasts and all. As Daisy he emails Teru his true feelings, telling her how much he thinks of her and what a wonderful good person she is. The reader still doesn't know why Kurosaki was asked to look over Teru but it has been mentioned a few times that it's his fault Teru's brother died. Because of this Kurosaki tries to keep a certain distance from Teru emotionally but fails miserably as you see that she is already his everything.
Teru, in turn, falls in love with Kurosaki, despite his mean behavior she's able to see genuine kindness in his eyes when he looks at her. She confides in Daisy, telling him that she's fallen in love, only troubling Kurosaki further as he now knows Teru returns his feelings.
The story also revolves around all sorts of trouble. Teru is constantly under attack because her brother was a computer genius and worked on many programs which, when he died, no one was able to find. Everyone then assumes Teru knows. Kurosaki is always kept busy protecting her, as both Daisy and himself.

*Sigh* I love this story. It's so cute and super funny. I can't wait for more chapters. As sad as this sounds I really wish it was finished so I could know what happens!

Well, I think that's it for now. This has taken A LONG time and I'm sure no one will read it, which honestly I'm ok with. But, when you spend 8 hours in front of the computer all day for work, you have to do what you have to do!

Love is ______(Fill in the blank)

Ahh Love! According to Wikipedia, which FYI is the greatest creation ever (lol), Love is:

". . .any of a number of emotions related to a sense of strong affection and attachment. The word love can refer to a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes, ranging from generic pleasure . . . to intense personal attraction. This diversity of uses and meanings, combined with the complexity of the feelings involved, makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, even compared to other emotional states.
As an abstract concept, love usually refers to a deep, ineffable feeling of tenderly caring for another person. Even this limited conception of love, however, encompasses a wealth of different feelings, from the passionate desire and intimacy of romantic love to the nonsexual emotional closeness of familial and platonic love to the profound oneness or devotion of religious love. Love in its various forms acts as a major facilitator of interpersonal relationships and, owing to its central psychological importance, is one of the most common themes in the creative arts."

As childish and impossible as it might sound, I believe in "Happily Ever After" love. Despite the horrible examples in my family.
Of my mom's 7 siblings 4 have been divorced. My mom has also been divorced. My step-dad was divorced two times before he married my mom. My dad has been married and divorced three times. My oldest sister SHOULD divorce her husband, who is too broken to love anyone but himself and the addictions. My oldest brother divorced his wife while she was pregnant and is now remarried. But recently I found that the person he loves the most he can never have. So his current wife is a second choice. My next sister just recently divorced her husband. In this situation I commend her because, although her husband was a wonderful man, she wasn't completely happy. So she did what was best for her own well being, which I think is brave. The next sister was divorced from a real jerk of a guy, who happened to be completely charming while they were dating. The following brother seemed to do it all right, dated for a year, married in the temple, etc. But in reality he's a broken man because in his marriage he gives all and she takes all without giving anything in return.
Those are my five siblings that have been or are married. It's sad to me that, because or our own difficult childhoods, my family can't seem to find happiness in marriage.

BUT HOPE IS NOT LOST!

I watch my closest friends in their marriages with pure joy. Julia and her husband love to fight, in fact she says it keeps their relationship fun. They argue, playfully and childishly, and you can see the love in each others eyes. I can see, while watching them, that years from now when they're grandparents they will never have that horrible disease known only as "getting used to each other". They both know that they have a great catch. You can tell by the way they look at each other and the way they talk about each other. They depend on the other.
Robert and Megan are very opposite in some situations. Their strengths and weaknesses balance each other out. As such they adore each other. They too argue but Megan she can never stay mad at Robert, even when she wants to. He will stare at her and immediately she will start laughing. I can see that they will always love each other in levels of adoration. Their story of finding each other is so sweet and touching.

With these two wonderful examples I know it's possible, despite what my own personal history has shown.
Nothing terrifies me more than the idea that I'll do it all right, find a great guy, date, pray about him, get married in the temple, five years later I feel it was a horrible mistake and we get a divorce.
No one gets married expecting to divorce, but at the same time no one plans on growing out of love.
I HATE the stupid lie that is known as the "honeymoon stage"! That comforting blissful place that you just know is going to last! "We'll always be this in love!" and all that load of bull.
NO ONE IS ALWAYS IN THE HONEYMOON STAGE! NO ONE IS ALWAYS SO IN LOVE!
. . .or are they?

Is it possible, that "happily ever after", "blissfully happy", so in love that you miss them even when you've been married for 50 years? Writers, artists, filmmakers, and songwriters would have us believe so, but is it really possible?

I say yes.

I honestly believe it is possible. I believe that two people, who are willing to work, can make it happen.

Back to the top: "Love is _____ (fill in the blank)"
For me, today, Love is POSSIBLE.
What is it for you?

Anime Boys

So I've had a few friends do this and I decided to do it as well. A tribute to the Anime/Manga boys I love! Yay!
Here is something I wrote on December 18, 2008. This is just for kicks and giggles:

Anime guys are like dreams come true,
doesn't matter your taste there's pleanty of them to choose.
If you like them pale, angry, and immortal, Sesshomaru would be your best choice.
Perhaps Howl and his moving castle, although his name has nothing to do with his voice.
If tough Shinigami guys are more your taste,
Bleach with Ichigo and Renji is your perfect place.
If genius, and a little darkness, is your desire,
Light Yagami and L would be best with their angst like fire.
Pretty boys with lots of spunk are Kyo and Yuki Sohma, with nothing to want.
Tamaki Suoh, the King of the Hosts, will charm you with words, looks, and a glorious flaunt.
If you need a ninja to lurk around at night,
Kakashi Hatake is the man for the fight.
With Anime and Manga available to any searching hand
it's easy to find unrequited love in an Anime boyfriend!

Yeah I'm a nerd, I know lol. I think I was just bored when I wrote it. So now, without further ado, here is my list of boys!

First and foremost, my absolute favorite, never to be outdone is Kakashi Hatake from Naruto.

He's freaking awesome! He's got a very laid back attitude, sometimes he's described to have bored looking eyes because of it. He has a rather solitary and matter-of-fact attitude. His calm and detached demeanor has been called “cool, hip, and trendy”. He is also regarded as a genius among his peers and is often called Kakashi the Copy Ninja or Kakashi of the Sharigan. Kakashi's personality is further emphasized by his generally lazy expression, aloof manner, relaxed voice, and minimalist attitude. In serious situations, however, he is shown to have a very stern and intense look. He's got some freaking awesome fighting abilities but I won't go all into those. More or less he's just my favorite and I love him!
Kakashi quote: "In the ninja world, those who break the rules are scum, that's true, but those who abandon their friends are worse than scum."

Next up is the lovely and ever romantic Tamaki Suoh from Ouran High School Host Club

Tamaki is flamboyant and narcissistic he is dedicated to his duties as a host. He is the Prince type to "entertain" customers, plying them with upper class etiquette and shameless flattery. He is partial to classic piano music and plays exceedingly well. The main comic relief character of the series, Tamaki can be viewed as outspoken and naïve for his age. Whenever he's depressed he crouches in the corner and cries, but can quickly recover if anyone happens to say a kind word to him. Tamaki may flatter girls and compliment all of them but he's always very sincere and means every word he says. Tamaki is like my inner child. I freaking love him.
Tamaki quote: "THIS is sexual harrassment? They licked you like dogs! If what I do is sexual harrassment, they should be arrested!"

Now, from Death Note, we have the dark, misunderstood, genius known only as L.

L is the world's top-rated detective. His true identity is hidden from all, even those close to him. He often takes drastic strategies to confuse and force the hand of his opponents, and his disheveled appearance disguises his brilliance. He enjoys sugar, and in nearly every scene including him, he is found eating cake or confectionery and drinking highly sweetened tea. L evaluates everything, often knowing the action someone is going to take before they do. He sits with his feet underneath him, claiming that it helps his deductive reasoning by 40%.
L quote: “If you use your head, you won’t get fat even if you eat sweets.”

Next I'm going to cover Bleach. This one is hard as I have 3 guys who I really like in the show but I decided to focus on Renji Abarai.

Renji varies from smug and cocky in his first appearances to depressed after his major defeats, but shows himself to be an incredibly serious and determined fighter when confronted with an actual challenge. Renji is a dangerous man to those who stand in his way. I really enjoy Renji's relationship with everyone around him, especially with Rukia's. The best thing about him is that once you're his friend he will do everything to help you, no matter what it costs him. He's got this annoying smirk and is often teased for his extensive tattoos, which he adds to every time he accomplishes something great.
Renji quote: "The only reason I am here is to beat the ****(crap) out of you you, because I sure as hell didn't come here to talk."

Following we have Vash from Trigun

Ahhh Vash, so much to be said. Vash acts like a total buffoon to make those around him feel unthreatened and at ease. In this sense he reminds me of Percy from The Scarlet Pimpernel. He often acts like a fool, confusing people to his true identity of Vash the Stampede, Humanoid Typhoon, or The Sixty Billion Double Dollar Man. He's a wanted criminal due to the huge amount of destruction that follows is every path. Unfortunately the destruction is ALWAYS caused by those who are tracking him for the reward on his head and not for his own actions. Vash refuses to kill any of his opponents, since he so treasures human life. At the end of the anime you find out that he's actually a sentient Plant, an energy source created by humans, in order to power all their advance technology. As such he's more or less immortal, can move VERY fast, and is extremely intelligent.
Vash quote: "This world is made of love and peace!"

And that's all for now!
Other characters that need mentioning:
Rock and Shikamaru from Naruto
Ichigo and Urahara from Bleach
Kauro and Hikaru from Ouran High School Host Club

I love Anime :D

Plastic Surgery

I randomly feel the need to post this.
Why do people go crazy over getting plastic surgery? Why this crazed need to look "perfect"? For me all I see is a tragic loss of natural beauty when people alter their faces so drastically. I'm all for corrective surgery, if it is NEEDED. Burn victims, car accidents, etc. Other than that I don't see a need for plastic surgery.
In all fairness I have known two people personally who received plastic surgery because they wanted to improve their looks and I can understand that because they kept it at a minimum, one thing.
The first was a girl who had the cutest face. She was my friends roommate in college and she was very fun. One day she told us that she had had a nose job. None of us believed her because her nose seemed to perfectly match her face. She assured us it was true and dug through her stuff to find her before photos. When she showed it to us I was shocked. She had once had the LARGEST hook nose I had ever seen.

Something like this but HUGE. It was so disproportionate to her face that it looked fake. It looked like she had stuck a witches nose on her face for Halloween. All of the girls in the apartment couldn't believe it. The girl, who had received the nose job, explained that growing up she had always hated her nose. She was teased about it and bullied because of it. So when she was older (around 18 I believe she said) she got a nose job.
The weird thing was her new nose looked more natural and better for her face than her old nose.
In this case I understood why she wanted the plastic surgery.

The other person I know got a boob job. She is a very slender woman but is pear shaped, with very wide hips and a small upper body. After having children the pear shape got worse, making her bottom half look over weight and her top half smaller. To even out her body she had breast implants. She kept them smaller, natural looking, and evened out her body, giving her whole frame a slimmed down look.
Although I've never understood the need to get a breast job, I'm well endowed and have never considered it, I can understand her desire to get this done. But at the same time, she kept her breast small and natural looking, making sure they fit her body type and frame.

So when I read about actresses who go all out, such as the recent case regarding Heidi Montag, I have to wonder: What the heck was she thinking?

I don't get it! 10 plastic surgeries in one sitting. She went from being a natural beautiful person to suddenly . . . almost kind of transvestite.
Who really is so concerned with their eyebrow placement that they get an eyebrow lift? Why this desire/need to look in-quizzical all the time?
Don't even get me started on how scary looking her boobs are now. There is something really very disgusting about huge, perfect circular lumps, popping out of the front of your body so much that they squish together all the time.
I won't deny that I'm all about nice cleavage, I love my boobs :) , but this is freaking sick looking!
Another thing that comes to mind in this case is: Who was saying WHAT to her to make her feel not pretty? What had she heard, or even said, about herself all her life to look in the mirror and scrutinize every little detail?
Her face isn't so different but at the same time is is changed. She altered her chin, her cheeks, her forehead, her nose, her lips, her neck (Really?), and had her ears pinned back.
First off, I didn't even know HALF of that stuff could be done! Secondly, who honestly is so concerned that their ears aren't pretty or that their neck might be too fat? Thirdly, and this to me is the most important, where was her husband in all of this?
Was he the guy that was supporting her on the sidelines, telling her to improve her looks, that she wasn't pretty enough, or could always be prettier?
I sure hope not.
If my husband came to me and said he wanted to have plastic surgery, which I'm assuming most guys don't stress about this kind of crap, and he gave me a list of 10things he wanted done, I would advise against it. To me he would be changing his whole face, becoming unfamiliar, a stranger. There couldn't possibly be 10 things so wrong with someones face that they would need to have that much plastic surgery. Also I like little flaws, they had spice. Perfection is boring.
This poor girl, Heidi Montag, has become a cookie cut version of perfection that the world places upon people. I hate to burst peoples bubbles but: IT'S NOT PRETTY! She was pretty before and, looking at her, I could see no need to change anything. Now, all I can see looking at her, is confusion. If I didn't already know I wouldn't be able to tell if she's a man or a woman. This "ideal perfection" is exactly the look that MEN go for when they have sex changes.

On that note, I'm done with my rant! Sorry for the long post :)

The first Blog

Wow, this is really lame but I'm doing it anyways.
I've created a blog! Dun dun dun DUUUUN DUUUUUUUUUUUUN!!!! Boom boom boom boom boom . . . etc.
Anyways.
I guess this is something I've been wanting to do for a while. I figure it's a good way to keep a journal and to vent a little. If no one reads it besides me, that's cool too.
Well, I guess I'll learn and improve as I go so for now this is it.
